Quảng Phú Hamlet, Krông Nô District, Đắk Nông
Amidst the many struggling villages in the Central Highlands, there are old houses that have weathered countless seasons of rain and sun over the years. And in Quảng Phú Hamlet, Krông Nô District, Đắk Nông, the 'Những Tấm Lòng Từ' Group had the opportunity to embark on a truly special journey – repairing a small house for a lonely, sick elderly woman, with the wish that she could have a place to shelter from the sun and rain and live more peacefully in her old age.

During local surveys, the group learned about her circumstances. The small house where she lived had severely deteriorated over many years. The old roof leaked badly whenever it rained heavily, the crooked walls were no longer sufficient to block the wind, and the old door could barely close completely. Every rainy season brought more worries, because with just one strong gust of wind, that small house seemed like it could be swept away at any moment.

She was old, her health was weak, and her daily life was already full of struggles. Looking at the simple house in the empty plot of land, everyone understood that what she needed was not something grand, but simply a sturdy enough roof to live peacefully through the rainy and windy days.

After discussion and planning, the group began implementing the house repair project for her. The items implemented included replacing the old roof with a new one, rebuilding all damaged walls, making new doors, and adding some essential items for daily living.

During the days of house repair, the atmosphere around the small house became more bustling. Each new corrugated iron sheet was brought in, each wooden beam carefully re-erected. Everyone worked together under the highland sun, some repairing the roof, some building the walls, some cleaning up the interior space. It was not just about repairing a house, but also about contributing bits of love to help her feel more secure in life.
As the new roof gradually completed, the small house also became much brighter and sturdier than before. Seasonal winds will no longer blow through the old gaps, and rainy nights will be less chilly. A new door was erected not only to block rain and wind, but also to open up a warmer feeling for her old age.

What moved everyone the most was perhaps not the size of the project, but the look in her eyes when she saw her house repaired. A gentle, slow, but grateful smile was enough to make all the hard work during the implementation days truly meaningful.

The house repair journey in Quảng Phú was not just a simple charity activity. It was also a journey of sharing, of kind hearts wishing to help an elderly person have a safer place to live in their final years.

May that small house always be sturdy enough through the rainy and windy seasons. May she have many more peaceful days in her new home, repaired with the love and care of many people. And may such 'Compassionate Home' journeys continue to be extended, so that love always has a place to reside in this life.
