On January 24, 2026, the Group of Kind Hearts implemented the “Light from the Heart” program in Phu Vinh village, Quang Phu commune, Lam Dong province, with the activity of donating and installing 12 solar lights for disadvantaged households. This is one of the charitable projects aimed at improving basic living conditions for people in mountainous areas, where grid electricity is still a luxury in many regions.

Phu Vinh village is a residential area nestled deep within the mountains and forests, where houses are scattered along red dirt slopes. During previous surveys, the group had visited the village multiple times to understand the real-life conditions of the residents. When night falls, the entire area is almost completely dark. Light is very limited; in some places, it only flickers from small sources, and in others, there is no electricity for daily use at all. This makes evening travel and activities difficult for the residents, especially for children and the elderly.

Stemming from this reality, the “Light from the Heart” program was implemented with the desire to provide a more practical and sustainable solution: a solar lighting system. These lights can absorb daylight and automatically illuminate at night, independent of the power grid and incurring no usage costs.
On the day of the program's implementation, group members went directly to each household to install the lights. The installation position for each light was carefully calculated to ensure optimal sunlight absorption during the day and stable illumination after dark. Although these were simple technical tasks, all were carried out meticulously, as each light lit carried the hope for a more convenient life for the residents.

As the first lights were turned on, the surrounding space gradually changed. The light was not overly strong, but enough to illuminate a courtyard, a corner of a house, enough to make evening activities easier, and more importantly, to bring a sense of peace of mind to the families here.

There were no grand words, just gentle glances and soft smiles. But it was these simple moments that clearly showed the meaning of the program: sometimes, a small source of light can make a huge difference in daily life.
“Light from the Heart” is not just about donating 12 solar lights; it is also a journey of sharing, helping to improve basic living conditions and igniting hope for better things for disadvantaged households in the highlands.

Leaving Phu Vinh village, what remains is not numbers or projects, but a gentle feeling of knowing that somewhere amidst the mountains and forests, small lights continue to shine every night, silently illuminating the lives of the residents.

May these lights always be sustainably maintained,
may every home in the highlands have fewer hardships,
and may small acts of kindness always be lit, from hearts that know how to share.
