FINDING THEM ON THE THOUSAND MILES OF ROAD II - CHARITY PROGRAM IN A NGO, DAK RONG, QUANG TRI

 

On August 26, 2023, the Group of Kind Hearts continued the charity journey "Finding Them on the Thousand Miles of Road II" at Primary and Secondary School A Ngo, Dak Rong District, Quang Tri Province. This is a program to support children in highland areas and people in difficult circumstances in the central border region before the new school year.

The trip not only brought gifts for poor students but also a program to connect love, share with those who are still lacking in the mountainous area of Dak Rong.

The difficult situation of children in the border area of Dak Rong

If you have ever been to Dak Rong, Quang Tri, it's probably hard to forget the scenery here with the continuous mountains, the streams flowing through the vast fields and the villages lying deep in the border area. The natural scenery is magnificent, but the life of the people is still very difficult.

The sun in Dak Rong is harsh with intense heat, and the rainy season often brings big floods, causing many roads to be cut off. There are times when students cannot go to school because of flooding and have to stay home to avoid danger.

Through the process of surveying reality, Nhóm Những Tấm Lòng Từ realized that the majority of people here are ethnic minorities, with difficult economic conditions. For many children, being able to continue going to school is a journey full of effort. Some children lack books, lack clothes, and some do not even have a pair of shoes to wear to school.

It was from what was seen and heard during the survey that the group decided to call on the community to join hands in supporting poor children in A Ngo, Đắk Rông, Quảng Trị.

Donating over 520 gifts to students and people in difficulty

After a period of preparation, the program "Tìm Em Trên Vạn Nẻo Đường II" officially took place on August 26, 2023, at A Ngo Primary and Secondary School.

Early in the morning, the school yard was already bustling with the presence of many students and local people. The excited eyes, the shy smiles of the children made this place truly warm.

In this program, Nhóm Những Tấm Lòng Từ presented:

• Notebooks and learning tools for over 520 students
• 300 portions of rice and essential goods for difficult households
• New sandals for the children
• Milk for infants and young children

Not only giving gifts, the group also organized a free lunch for all students at the school. In the face of many shortages, everyone worked together to prepare each meal with the hope of giving the children a truly fulfilling day.

The hot pots of rice, the simple but meaningful meals, contained a lot of affection. When the children sat together in the schoolyard, they became close and warm like a big family in the midst of the Central region's forest.

Charity program spreads love to the highlands

“Finding You on the Road II” is not only a program that gives gifts to poor and remote children, but also an opportunity for those who participate to learn how to listen, understand and share more with the community.

The eyes of the children, the tight hugs when they receive gifts, and the simple smiles of the locals have left a deep impression on the team. This is also the motivation for Nhóm Những Tấm Lòng Từ to continue implementing many more charitable programs in the future.

When leaving A Ngo, each person carries a simple hope: hoping that the new notebooks will accompany the children throughout the year, hoping that the sandals will help them walk to school, and hoping that more charitable programs will be continued in difficult areas.
